Memorial Gestures is a yearly residency programme which supports 3 artists, 1 writer & 1 translator.
Over the course of 7 months researchers are invited to explore the Holocaust Centre North Archive collection and respond to materials and themes they feel have contemporary relevance.

We are currently in our 3rd installment of Memorial Gestures with residencies running between October 2024 – April 2025.
Our MG3 residents are Sierra Kaag (translator), Hannah Machover (artist), Laura Nathan (artist), Nathalie Olah (writer) & Sebastian ‘Chebo’ Roitter (artist).

An exhibition of artworks and research will be hosted by Sunny Bank Mills in June 2025.
